A Journey of Innovation in Energy Storage
Our history dates back to the late 19th century when Swedish engineer Dr. Waldemar Jungner introduced the world to the nickel-cadmium battery.
1899 Dr. Waldemar Jungner invents the origin of today’s storage batteries.
A groundbreaking invention that laid the foundation for modern storage batteries.
1900 - The Birth of a Vision
In November 1900, a momentous event took place at the prestigious Hotel Anglas in Stockholm. Dr. Waldemar Jungner, accompanied by his wife Hulda, gathered with a group of journalists, engineers, and financiers to witness a historic experiment. An electric car equipped with Dr. Junger’s silver-cadmium battery embarked on a remarkable journey through the streets of Stockholm. This audacious endeavor aimed to showcase the immense potential of the newly developed battery technology. The electric car accomplished an astonishing feat, covering a distance of 148.5 kilometers in just 12 hours. This remarkable achievement was a stark contrast to the limited range of electric cars powered by lead accumulators, which could only manage 30-40 kilometers on a single charge at that time.
The Revolution of Energy Storage
2019 - Expanding Horizons
Over the years, we continued to push the boundaries of innovation in energy storage. In 2019, Jungner Machine AB made a significant investment in Suiso® Power Co., a prominent company in Japan specializing in cutting-edge power technologies. This strategic investment allowed us to harness synergies and accelerate advancement in the field of sustainable energy
2024 - New Departure
In 2024, we will celebrate our 5th anniversary and have moved to a new office to take a big leap forward in clean energy solutions. With its superior power, efficiency and environmental benefits, Suiso’s Puro® fuel cell stack is poised to revolutionize multiple industries and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future
